-I am a licensed REALTOR.
-I have a Masters
Degree in Architecture from the College of Design at
the U of MN.
-I have over a
decade of experience in residential design, on
projects of virtually every scale.
-I can help you get into
your dream home!
In addition to
being a Licensed REALTOR, I also have over 10 years of
experience in residential design- including projects
that have won RAVE Awards, a P/A Award, and Minnesota
AIA Honor Awards. Before coming to Peterssen/Keller
Architecture, I spent eight years at ALTUS
Architecture + Design, where I worked on
projects of virtually every scale – from garage
build-outs to concepts for skyscrapers that exceeded
200 stories. A PDF of my design portfolio can be
viewed here (~6.4mb).
In 2010, I
discovered my training and studies could be a strong
benefit to people looking for existing homes. An
architectural education is about understanding space,
construction methods, natural light, sites, views, and
most importantly, a client’s wants and desires.
In addition to my design work, I now work with Edina
Realty, and help people understand the potential and
pitfalls of existing homes.
I believe I bring
a critical eye for understanding the context of every
home, and I care deeply about the individual
personality of each client. I believe that
environmental responsibility is a fundamental starting
point to any building project, but that good design
must be the end point.
Before finding
architecture, I initially studied chemical engineering
and advanced biology at the University of Minnesota.
In 2004, I returned to the U’s College of Design for a
Master’s Degree in Architecture. During my studies, I
lived and studied in Florence, Lisbon, Barcelona and
Venice. My award-winning thesis, Plant Squared – An
Urban Farm, looked at bringing agricultural production
into urban centers, and can be viewed here
(~9mb).
I am passionate
about fishing, photography, woodworking, playing bass
in a local band and traveling around the world with my
wife.
